Özet: Ellen Sanders, iyi bir kariyere ve statüye sahip bir cerrahtır ve önüne hayatını baştan aşağı değiştirecek bir fırsat(?) çıkar: ABD’nin Dönem Başkanı’nı (Başkan Kincaid) ameliyat edecektir. Fakat ameliyata az kala, Ellen ailesiyle birlikte maskeli kişilerce rehin alınır. Rehin alan, grubun başında yer alan kişi aslen FBI ajanı olan ve kendine göre haklı sebeplerle bu işe kalkışan Duncan Carlisle‘dır. Grubun diğer üyeleri ise: rehin aldığı aile üyelerine yakınlık duyan Kramer Delaney, çeşitli yeteneklere sahip eski asker Archer Petit ve gruba sonradan katılan, grubun tek kadın üyesi Sandrine Gonzales‘dir. Carlisle’ın ve bu grubun, Ellen’dan istediği şey ise; ABD Başkanı’nın ameliyattan sağ çıkamamasıdır; aksi halde hem kendinin hem de ailesinin başına kötü şeyler gelecektir.






Bir anda kendini böyle bir politik komplonun ortasında bulan Ellen; ya kocası Brian‘ı, kızı Morgan‘ı ve oğlu Jake‘i kurtaracak; ya da doğru bildiği yolda ilerleyecektir.
