Özet: Dizinin ilk sezonu ilginç bir senaryoya sahip. Kariyerlerinde olgunluk yıllarına gelmiş olan Bette Davis ve Joan Crawford'un başrolünü paylaştığı, 1962 ABD yapımı "Baby Jane Whatever Happened? / Bebek Jane'e Ne Oldu?" isimli psikolojik gerilim filminden esinlenen ilk sezonda filmin çekimleri sırasında sahne arkasında yaşanan olaylar kurgulanacak. Joan Crawford'u Jessica Lange, Bette Davis'ı ise Susan Sarandon canlandıracak.






Beş kez Oscar'a aday gösterilen filmde ise toplumdan uzak yaşayan, bir zamanların ünlü sinema oyuncuları olan iki yaşlı kız kardeşin hikayesi anlatılmaktadır. Eskinin çocuk yıldızı Bebek Jane'in (Bette Davis), tekerlekli sandalyeye mahkûm kız kardeşi Blanche'a (Joan Crawford) uyguladığı sistematik işkence ve psikolojik terör ürkütücü bir gerçekçilikle izleyiciye yansıtılmıştır.
