Özet: Senaryosunu Chuck MacLean'in kaleme aldığı ve "Boston Mucizesi" olarak bilinen olayı çevreleyen gerçek hayat gelişmelerinin etrafında toplanan dizinin hikayesi; her şey aniden değişmeye başlamadan önce yerel kolluk kuvvetlerince cesaretlendirilen şiddetli suçluların kol gezdiği; yolsuzluk ve ırkçılığın çok yaygın olduğu 1990'lı yılların başındaki Boston'da geçiyor.






Olaylar; Brooklyn'den gelen yeni fikirlerin yayılması için mücadele eden değişim yanlısı Afro-Amerikalı bir Bölge Savcısı Decourcy Ward (Hodge) ve doğru yoldan sapmasına rağmen kendisine hala saygı gösterilen geçmişi parlak tecrübeli bir FBI uzmanı Jackie Rohr'un (Bacon) görünüşte mümkün olmayan ittifakı üzerine şekilleniyor. Charlestown'da zırhlı araba soyguncusu bir ailenin davasını ele alan ikilinin verdikleri mücadele giderek büyüyecek ve Boston genelinde ceza yargılama sistemini baştan aşağı değiştirecek gelişmelerin önünü açacaktır.
