Özet: Ünlü dedektif Hercule Pierrot bu kez Nil'de yol alan S.S.Karnak gemisindedir. Zengin bir mirasyedi olan Linnet Ridgeway gezi sırasında öldürülür. Pierrot cinayeti araştırmaya başlar. Gemi limana yanaşmadan önce cinayeti çözmesi gerekmektedir. Ancak işi zordur. Çünkü gemide bulunan herkes Linnet'in ölümünü isteyecek niteliktedir.
